Article Marketing: Quality Vs Quantity

QUESTION: (Anonymous) How do you differentiate a quality article from a quantity article?

This is an interesting question because how do you define a “good quality” article and why would you strive to create a bad one?

When I think of “Quality Article”, I am referring to an article that its purpose is to entice readers, create followers, and provide the reader unbelievable content.  I usually personally write these articles or I may pay a well-established (usually pricey) writer to do it for me.  These types of articles I usually put on my own websites as well as places where my name and my authority may be recognized (like eZineArticles, Twitter, Facebook, etc.).

Now the “Quantity Article” is usually done for the sole purpose of creating backlinks.   These DO need to be readible and usually the quality is not too bad.  Still, I usually would pay a lower priced author to write these types of articles and I may even go the extra step of “spinning” the article.  The can produce a lot of unique articles (and hopefully good backlinks) without the cost.

In fact, I usually have the “Quantity Articles” linking back to the “Quality Articles”, among other things.  It is just good SEO and Social Media Practice.

Who is Behind Marketing Mind?

Matthew BredelMy name is Matthew Bredel and as of March, 2007, I am a full-time, work-at-home internet marketer. For close to 10 years, I worked for a defense company which was an OK job, but I was so uninspired in life and frankly, I needed some more money. That is when I first discovered internet marketing! Now I admit that I didn't start making thousands in my first couple of months (in fact, I lost my shirt!), but I finally saw the "internet light"...

Do Meta Tags Help Top Search Engine Rankings?

One of the biggest misconceptions about getting ranked highly in the search engines (particularly Google) revolves around the use of meta-tags. Most mega tags do absolutely nothing for SEO. Some can help with traffic. And some and make sure you DON’T get listed in Google, EVER!

A squeeze page or landing page is an important part of a online business’s web presence. What does it take to make a squeeze page and how can you create an opt-in that pulls in the right customers?

Predictably Irrational & The “Free Line”

The concept of predictable irrationality is a perfect example of how to both increase your conversion while qualifying your leads. Mike Filsaime introduced the concept to us at Mass Control 2 (#MC2), but here I reiterate it and explain how to apply it to our current online ventures!

How Do You SEO Your Blog Posts?

Blogging is fun but let’s face it, most who want to make money online have a purpose in mind when they start a blog. Beyond seeing their words on the screen they probably want to sell something, make money from Google Adsense or Adwords, or use their blog to SEOize other sites and Web 2.0 pages of theirs.

Google is Getting More “Personal”

Are we becoming whores to the internet? Google Profiles is now a reality and you can now tell Google who you are and Google will even included this in their index. So my question is: how much more of your anonymity are you willing to give Google for a little bit of social marketing and SEO love.

Why Social Bookmarking is Hot Right Now

Having a website is pointless unless you have incoming traffic. Social bookmarking is one of the most effective ways to bring in targeted traffic quickly to your site.

So Many Social Media Tools, So Little Time!

With so many social media tools to choose from, how do you know which ones to invest time in? There are dozens and dozens of tools that people use to help them network with people and improve their site’s SEO. Here are my top favourite tools to use for my blogs and internet marketing efforts.

My MP4 h.264 Files Won’t Load Immediately!

MP4 (h.264) videos are the hottest and one of the most robust video file formats being used today. YouTube uses it for High Quality and High Definition videos and new Adobe Flash players can process them. Unfortunately, within the MP4 h.264 file is Quicktime Indexing information, and if it is in the wrong spot, you may have some streaming problems. The fix is simple, though. Read on…

Is Social Media Taking over SEO? (Maybe!)

Using the social media networks for search engine optimization is not required, BUT, would you rather have FIVE listings on page one of Google or just one? See how I do this regularly…
