Article Marketing: Quality Vs Quantity

QUESTION: (Anonymous) How do you differentiate a quality article from a quantity article?

This is an interesting question because how do you define a “good quality” article and why would you strive to create a bad one?

When I think of “Quality Article”, I am referring to an article that its purpose is to entice readers, create followers, and provide the reader unbelievable content.  I usually personally write these articles or I may pay a well-established (usually pricey) writer to do it for me.  These types of articles I usually put on my own websites as well as places where my name and my authority may be recognized (like eZineArticles, Twitter, Facebook, etc.).

Now the “Quantity Article” is usually done for the sole purpose of creating backlinks.   These DO need to be readible and usually the quality is not too bad.  Still, I usually would pay a lower priced author to write these types of articles and I may even go the extra step of “spinning” the article.  The can produce a lot of unique articles (and hopefully good backlinks) without the cost.

In fact, I usually have the “Quantity Articles” linking back to the “Quality Articles”, among other things.  It is just good SEO and Social Media Practice.

Who is Behind Marketing Mind?

Matthew BredelMy name is Matthew Bredel and as of March, 2007, I am a full-time, work-at-home internet marketer. For close to 10 years, I worked for a defense company which was an OK job, but I was so uninspired in life and frankly, I needed some more money. That is when I first discovered internet marketing! Now I admit that I didn't start making thousands in my first couple of months (in fact, I lost my shirt!), but I finally saw the "internet light"...

Over the past month, I have felt a lot of rumblings throughout the internet due to the lasted FTC rulings on Testimonials and Endorsements. If you are a subscriber to my newsletter or are quite aware of what is going on in the internet marketing world, you are probably seeing the words “StomperNet”, “StomperBlog”, “Going Natural”, “Andy Jenkins” and “Brad Fallon” everywhere you turn right about now. Cash Flow and Affiliate Marketing

Having no formal education in marketing or accounting, the term “Cash Flow” never meant much to me…until recently. My understanding of cash flow (now) is how and WHEN cash is flowing into and out of your saving account. In the past, it was simple! I received a steady check from my employer. [...]

Creating an XML Sitemap for Google

In my last post, I wrote about the importance of using Google Sitemaps to measure the effectiveness of your SEO efforts. I kind of simply stated: “Just create your XML site map, up-load it to your server, and you are ready to go!” Well, some of you wrote me and said “huh?” [...]

Are You Using Google Sitemaps to Test SEO Effectiveness?

I talk a lot about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) with respect to earning top placements in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). Basically, you optimize your website and external links in such a way for the search engine spiders to pay attention to specific keywords that you would like related to your site. [...]

NexGen Affiliate Marketing and Learning: FreeIQ

Back in February, I attended a conference where Brad Fallon announced the pre-release of a new website called FreeIQ. Product announcements usually don’t wow me too much any more, but one thing I have learned is that when Brad Fallon talks, you should listen. So I stuck around.
So what is FreeIQ all about? [...]

$10 Per Click on Adwords…What Next?

I wrote about gettin’ Google Slapped Silly a month or so ago and of course, being such an “expert” at Adwords (ha!), I would avoid this in my future, right?  Well, I created a new campaign a few days ago (and gosh, what a great idea I had, too!).  I created my website, did the [...]

Google Bomb Ignited Again!

A couple of months ago, I talked about the Google Bomb.  Just a reminder, the Google Bomb was set off by a lot of SEO experts to get the term “miserable failure” to point to President Bush’s home page whenever it appeared in the Google Search Engine Results Page (SERP).  They did this by creating [...]
