When it comes to working on getting backlinks for your site, are you a quantity or quantity *plus* quality strategist?
When it comes to backlinks, are you going for quantity or are you going for quality?
Not all backlinks are created equally and if you’re thinking quantity without stopping and considering quality, you could be hurting your website more than helping it.
Those who launch a new website for the first time and find out how helpful backlinks are can go a bit crazy with their efforts and the results might not be as good as you’d expect. First, you might de-value your site by getting linked to by the wrong sites and second, you might not get much targeted traffic out of it. Targeted organic SEO requires a deliberate approach in order to be successful.
-Traffic is good but targeted traffic is better.
-Links are good but authority links are better.
-Reciprocal links are ok but 1-way links are better.
How do you get a good quality of backlinks to your site?
Consider the following:
-Does the site linking to you relate to your subject matter? If it does, it can help you.
-Does the site you’re getting backlinks from have a good Google reputation? Page rank does help and while it’s not a bad thing to get a PR0 site linking to you, if you get a PR8 site linking to you, this will have obvious benefits.
-Does the link utilize a targeted keyword? This link will do better at helping your site’s SEO power than a simple link of the address.
Getting as many high quality backlinks as possible is an ongoing process. You might decide on a weekly amount of time spent working on this. You can employ many methods to help you such as: social media, buying links, web 2.0 pages (like hubs and lenses), blog commenting, and life streaming. (Check out: 7 Ways to Get Backlinks) Keep in mind that quantity is good but quality is better and you’ll find that your website traffic and revenue could both increase.
Cheers,
Dana

Don't Buy Another Money Making Product Until You Watch These FREE Videos! |
My name is Matthew Bredel and as of March, 2007, I am a full-time, work-at-home internet marketer.
For close to 10 years, I worked for a defense company which was an OK job, but I was so uninspired in life and frankly, I needed some more money. That is when I first discovered internet marketing! Now I admit that I didn't start making thousands in my first couple of months (in fact, I lost my shirt!), but I finally saw the "internet light"...

Often remarks similar to these will be difficult to believe but there is lots of relevant and valuable details here. People that post this info are to be thanked.
