First, welcome to my new blog website! Yes, I know, I named it after myself and that does sound a little bit conceited. I was struggling a bit about what to call this new domain and someone suggested that I might as well call it after myself because it is *my* blog. So, what the heck, I did it! (And it makes me feel good and important.)
Why did I move my Blog? First of all, I want to say that Blogger is a really great blogging program. It is super easy to use and the posts that are written get pinged and spidered regularly. Anybody who is starting to blog should really give this a try. It literally takes about 15 minutes to set and it is as easy to use as email.
Right now, I have over 80 posts over the past 6 or so months on my Blogger blog and I will keep this blog intact over at:
Not too bad! It has a pretty steady page rank of 4 right now and I have not really done much to build that either. Still, as my review site grows and my visitors to my Blog have become more loyal, I felt that this was a good breaking point to leave the nest and build my own website devoted to this blog. Why?
- More flexibility in design
- More flexibility in the site organization
- More flexibility in distribution
- More flexibility to add additional resources.
MORE FLEXIBILITY! To be honest, about 80% of the things I wanted to do with my Blogger blog I could do (either in the post or the template). But I want this to start growing a little bit bigger! I wanted to embed scripts within the posts. I wanted to add additional links to resource pages that matched the template. And of course, I wanted a website all of my own.
Still, it does not seem like I really wanted to do that much for all of the effort it takes to set up your own blog…right? Well, not really! I have to admit that this was fairly simple. I used Wordpress to create the blog (Free), bought the domain name for $6/year and I pay about $3/month hosting. Pretty low price for you own website and blog. Pretty simple installation. (It took me about 20 minutes to install and about 2 hours to customize it to some of the weird hidden things that I have added that are not exactly apparent…I’ll discuss this in later blogs.)
Now that I have my own, new blog, I feel inclined to write more these days. Hopefully two per week, we will see. I promise to continue my blogs about SEO, Adwords, Online Marketing and more. But now, I feel that I am understanding Wordpress more and hope to provide some good tips on that, as well.
Be sure to add my RSS feed for this new blog on the right hand column. Members of TheWebReviewer Club will automatically be sent over here from now on. Comments are still always welcome. And again, welcome and hope you continue to visit for many blog posts to come!

My name is Matthew Bredel and as of March, 2007, I am a full-time, work-at-home internet marketer.
For close to 10 years, I worked for a defense company which was an OK job, but I was so uninspired in life and frankly, I needed some more money. That is when I first discovered internet marketing! Now I admit that I didn't start making thousands in my first couple of months (in fact, I lost my shirt!), but I finally saw the "internet light"...
