A few things that either annoy me about other websites, or things that I have tried that have proved to be extremely bad for conversion on my websites.
10. Website backgrounds with repeating images
9. Websites with Flash Introductions (the ones that offer me to “Skip Intro”)
8. Delayed Pop-up windows that chase you around the screen. (Though, most pop-up’s, in general, are pretty annoying!)
7. Pop-under windows the creates some stupid, phony Live Chat in Flash.
6. The use of iFrames (seems so tacky to me!)
5. Web pages that say “Under Construction” (if it doesn’t exist, don’t tell me about it!)
4. Websites that go seal happy…This isn’t SeaWorld, its the World Wide Web! (one or two “safety” seals are nice…15 seals from anything between Hacker-Safe to the American flag makes the website look like an Indy Nascar).
3. Speaking of advertising, websites that have more advertising than content. (Having twelve affiliate banners, 3 Adsense listings and all of the Google tool buttons does not make for a revenue generating machine, either!)
2. Using images throughout your website as your links (I’m an SEO guy! I know, the images might look cool, but it is a major red flag to competitors that you don’t know what you are doing!)
1. Websites that show us pictures of the checks they received from making money online (maybe it is jealousy on my part or maybe I think it is just silly!)

My name is Matthew Bredel and as of March, 2007, I am a full-time, work-at-home internet marketer.
For close to 10 years, I worked for a defense company which was an OK job, but I was so uninspired in life and frankly, I needed some more money. That is when I first discovered internet marketing! Now I admit that I didn't start making thousands in my first couple of months (in fact, I lost my shirt!), but I finally saw the "internet light"...
