Changing the Font & Style of Your H1 Tags

QUESTION: (Rhonda) I am having problems changing the font size of my H1text. Is this very important? If so, how do I go about changing it?

Changing the text and/or style of an H1 tag is simple in CSS.  It does not affect anything other than how the visitor sees it though (i.e., if you use a large font, it means nothing more than a smaller font, in SEO terms or how Google sees it).

You can change the H1 tag locally or in the CSS definition file.

If you want to change all of the H1 tag settings in your entire website, you would do this in the CSS file:

h1 {
font-size: 24px;
}

You would use the h1 tag as you normally would:
<h1>This is my H1 tag</h1>

You can define a class in the CSS file which allows you to define your new style whenever you wish anywhere on the site:

.h1style {
font-size: 24px;
}

You would add this class to your h1 tag, when you wish it:

<h1 class=”h1style”>This is my H1 Tag</h1>

* Remember to add the “.” when defining it in the CSS to classify it as a class.

Finally, you can do it locally using a style attribute (without the CSS file):

<h1 style=”font-size:24px;”>This is my H1 Tag</h1>

All of the above do the exact same thing.  Their use is based on how often you use the style and how you want it defined (whether globally or locally).

Also, remember you can add other styles to the same definition (like color):

<h1 style=”font-size:24px; color:red;”>This is my H1 Tag that is Red and 24px high</h1>

I find that being able to change the styles of my text for header and other standard tags to be quite invaluable!  Knowing a little bit of CSS can go a long way.  Give this a try!

The easiest thing to try first is the local definition using the style attribute. If this is working for you, consider creating or editing your own CSS file!

I find myself kicking myself that I did not take part in the trial of this program.  As a reviewer, I sometimes get “press” versions of upcoming programs and StomperNet’s Formula 5 is no exception.

Let me step back a second and explain what and how this works…

Formula 5 is a business development program.  It is aimed at those who are already making SOME money online (this can be almost any level, though…even a few bucks here and there).  Formula5  is NOT for newbies looking for methods of HOW to make money online, rather, it is a system to teach you how to make MORE money.

The process was created by “super-consultant” Paul Lemberg, who used and developed these techniques to increase his client’s businesses by more than $300 MILLION in his career.

The beauty in these Formula5 techniques is that it is scalable to almost any size of business (from a couple hundred dollars per month to hundreds of millions of dollars per year).

The concept:  Breaking your business down into 5 sections (or Formulas!):

  • Margin Magnifier
  • Sales Stackers
  • Lead Landslide
  • Conversion Control
  • Turbo Thruster

(Well, these are the names they are given within the Formula 5 system.)

The key is to increase each one of these five components by 15%.  The result?  Simple:  Double your business.

This is how Formula 5 works.  The system is set up over 15 weeks.  Every three weeks you receive a different “section” in the mail.  This also includes Videos as well as documentation.

Now I am not 100% if they are doing this (they did it in the trial), but they also formed mastermind groups, conference calls and webinars for each of these modules, too.

I’m not going to go into the details of each section (yet…As I receive each section, I will post a video summary of each below).  But understand that each section of Formula 5 includes tackling each of these concepts, understanding them, and ways to apply them specifically to your online business.

This is not wishy-washy stuff (at least, from what I have seen so far).  They provide detailed worksheets to walk you through the steps.

But I am going to stop here with the initial “review” of the product.  Below, I plan to provide a overview of each section, what it is, and how it is going to AT LEAST double your business.
