Last week I went to my first Affiliate Summit (West) in Las Vegas and my feeling coming home were rather mixed. I went with little expectation and came back with much the same feeling. On a good note, I found it interesting to meet so many successful affiliates all doing very different things. I got to speak with Missy Ward (co-owner of Affiliate Summit) for awhile and met a handful of people who knew me as “TheWebReviewer”. On a down-note, I really went there to meet potential JV partners and affiliates to help promote NetWebVideo for its upcoming relaunch and really did not find many people who were interested or supported this niche. I thought the vendors were dominated by CPA lead companies, and so much “networking” was taking part within the exhibit that it made it difficult getting anywhere to talk to anyone. Next year, I will return. I will go more prepared, though, with the expectation of learning and meeting people rather than have a self-serving agenda. (Who knows, maybe I will have my own booth next year for NetWebVideo?)

Don't Buy Another Money Making Product Until You Watch These FREE Videos! |
My name is Matthew Bredel and as of March, 2007, I am a full-time, work-at-home internet marketer.
For close to 10 years, I worked for a defense company which was an OK job, but I was so uninspired in life and frankly, I needed some more money. That is when I first discovered internet marketing! Now I admit that I didn't start making thousands in my first couple of months (in fact, I lost my shirt!), but I finally saw the "internet light"...

kinda seems like affiliate summit was a bit of a let down but you never know what some of those contacts you made might turn into in the future. Thanks for writing this blog i’ve learned a lot from it and your videos one of these days i’ll send you my success story from the videos you have created. I’ve only made a little over $500 bucks but i can honestly say it was from watching your videos keep up the good work.

Are you going to register for the upcoming Affiliate Summit in Boston?
Also, I am curious if you used (or were even aware) of the resources like the conference social network or the tool to set up appointments with exhibitors?
