Article Marketing: Quality Vs Quantity

QUESTION: (Anonymous) How do you differentiate a quality article from a quantity article?

This is an interesting question because how do you define a “good quality” article and why would you strive to create a bad one?

When I think of “Quality Article”, I am referring to an article that its purpose is to entice readers, create followers, and provide the reader unbelievable content.  I usually personally write these articles or I may pay a well-established (usually pricey) writer to do it for me.  These types of articles I usually put on my own websites as well as places where my name and my authority may be recognized (like eZineArticles, Twitter, Facebook, etc.).

Now the “Quantity Article” is usually done for the sole purpose of creating backlinks.   These DO need to be readible and usually the quality is not too bad.  Still, I usually would pay a lower priced author to write these types of articles and I may even go the extra step of “spinning” the article.  The can produce a lot of unique articles (and hopefully good backlinks) without the cost.

In fact, I usually have the “Quantity Articles” linking back to the “Quality Articles”, among other things.  It is just good SEO and Social Media Practice.

Who is Behind Marketing Mind?

Matthew BredelMy name is Matthew Bredel and as of March, 2007, I am a full-time, work-at-home internet marketer. For close to 10 years, I worked for a defense company which was an OK job, but I was so uninspired in life and frankly, I needed some more money. That is when I first discovered internet marketing! Now I admit that I didn't start making thousands in my first couple of months (in fact, I lost my shirt!), but I finally saw the "internet light"...

An actual TruGuru student of mine recently contacted me about her successes as a mini-site online marketer. I was excited, of course, and she wanted to sit down and discuss my thoughts on how I use minisites to create revenue. Here is a powerful excerpt of our 1 hour interview…

A couple of weeks ago, I sat down with Alicia Bowyer from MiniSiteSolutions.com to give an interview on the concept of the “mini-site”.  The interview is part of a collection where Alicia teaches the minisite money making concept in her upcoming launch of her own product, MiniSiteSolutions.

In the video, I provide a excerpt of our conversion and it includes topics (and time frames) such as:

  • What is a Mini-Site?  (00:16)
  • Easiest Way to Build a MiniSite Fast, Easily and Affordably (02:19)
  • Using Squeeze and Sandwich Pages to Increase Conversion (05:25)
  • The 3 “Necessities” to Any MiniSite for Success (06:35)
  • The Most Important Part of the MiniSite (Without it, It won’t Work!)  (08:26)

Again, this is just a portion of the interview but it is packed with some rather important concepts and points!  And if you want to learn more about mini-sites and hear the rest of our interview, be sure to get Alicia’s free report at MiniSiteSolutions.com.

And to tell you a little bit about Alicia, I know her because she is actually a member of TruGuru.com!  She has used many of my techniques to create not only a successful minisite business of her own, but now she is sharing it as the Marketing Mom at MiniSiteSolutions. Her teaching style is very “down-to-earth” and focuses on many of the layman techniques that are required to build a business from home.

Be sure to visit her site at MiniSiteSolutions.com.

P.S.  Way to go, Alicia!  Great product!
